Hip H'opera!
Come join us in our private listening space for this sneak preview of T-VOCE's performance at the Annenberg Center! This will be a vibrant afternoon of Hip-hop, spoken word, and song in celebration of Philadelphia's youth. Proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to supporting the T-VOCE program!
Hip H'opera legitimizes young people's voices by freeing their creativity and providing a platform for their many talents. Through music and original poetry, dance and art, students show how our uniqueness makes us a vibrant, collective whole. Be moved by this powerful message from our youth.
More about T-VOCE:
Teen Voices of the City Ensemble, or T-VOCE (tee-VO-chay), is a free choir open to area teens. A collaboration between Art Sanctuary, Opera Philadelphia, Play On, Philly!, and Singing City. T-VOCE is a chance for students to share their talents with each other and the community. T-VOCE comes from the Italian word "voce," meaning "voice," because this choir is all about empowering and celebrating the voice of Philadelphia youth and their overwhelming talents.
